1. An aspiring entrepreneur based in Portugal?
2. A Portuguese based business owner with at least three years’ experience of running your own company?
**Chris Barton,** CEO of the **British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce**, has been appointed as one of the scheme’s administrators of the EU funded programme Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs.

The EYE programme **promotes entrepreneurialism and mobility** across the continent **by pairing aspiring entrepreneurs**, also known as New Entrepreneurs (NE), **with experienced business owners**, referred to as Host Entrepreneurs (HE), in another European country.
The HE commits to mentoring the NE through face-to-face counseling and supporting the development of the NE’s business plan. This process equips the NE **to return to their home country better prepared** to embark on the otherwise daunting journey of entrepreneurship.
