The internet is starting to sound like one person.
Fluent, confident, and a little boring.
Open LinkedIn and every fourth post sounds like the one above it. Search a question and the top results read like they were written by the same tired intern. Even the comments are starting to rhyme.
The shift is bigger than content. AI now sets the baseline for how content is supposed to sound. Once that baseline exists, it starts shaping how thinking is supposed to sound too.
We’re calling it brain pollution. The quiet runoff of machine-shaped language into how a whole culture writes, argues, and decides what counts as a good idea.
So this is the night we sit with one uncomfortable question. If every idea passes through the same handful of systems before it reaches us, what happens to disagreement? To the strange, unoptimised idea that turns out to be right?
Alexandre Mendes is joining us for this one. He has spent his career on a related question: how do people actually learn to think in a digital economy? He built Skills Lab to reskill long-term unemployed graduates, ran Startup Braga through its sharpest growth years, teaches Leading Business Transformation in an AI Era at Porto Business School, and now leads ventures at Subvisual. When the question is what we lose by letting AI think for us, he’s exactly who you want in the room.
No panels. No slides.
Just a table, a real conversation, and a room of curious people willing to stay in the messy middle for a couple of hours. Nobody hands you a tidy answer on the way out.
