6:30 Smart Money, Max Yields & Avoiding the Pitfalls: The Truth About Investing in Property in Portugal — A Discussion with Carol Paterson Smith of Arno Developments (https://www.linkedin.com/in/carolpatersonsmith/)
We all know the Portuguese property market can be a rollercoaster. Between the headlines about interest rates and the anecdotes about renovation disasters, it is hard to know what the smart money does.
Join us as Carol Paterson Smith of Arno Developments bridges the gap between high-level financial strategy and the gritty reality of getting a project done in Portugal.
This isn’t just about theory; Carol will divulge the data to track, design decisions that pay off, and the “unwritten rules” of dealing with local agents, architects and builders.
What we will cover:
The Market: Understanding how Portugal’s housing market compares to other developed markets.
Building Your Team: How to hire an architect, engineer, or builder (and what to avoid).
Agent Confidential: How real estate agents really work here, and the Do’s and Don’ts of buying and selling to avoid “shooting yourself in both feet.”
Style for Profit: Decorating an investment property by mastering price points and style decisions that maximize returns, not just aesthetics.
