🔘 **7:15 pm to 8:15 pm** \- “**What we learned from adopting OpenTelemetry**” by Antonio Jimenez Martinez and Vu Thien Nga Nguyen
⟿***Description***\*:\* The wide industry adoption of OpenTelemetry allowed us to build a system that would greatly simplify the integration with Cisco ThousandEyes and allow customers to correlate data with other OpenTelemetry-compliant sources.
The OpenTelemetry architecture is mostly built using the existing OpenTelemetry Collector components. Nevertheless, we had to develop some extensions.
In this session, we will present:
\- The initiative for adopting OpenTelemetry
\- Architecture
\- Custom components we have developed\.
We will conclude with a demo showcasing how easily our customers can export the data to any observability backend.

Along the way, we’ll explore how tools like OpenAPI Generator can reduce boilerplate by generating client and server code, and how frameworks like RestAssured can simplify automated testing. Whether you’re working on greenfield projects or maintaining existing APIs, this session will highlight practical ways to save time and improve consistency across your codebase.
