In a world where information flows faster than we can process it, note-taking during meetings often becomes a bottleneck — consuming valuable time and leaving behind gaps in understanding. Enter **Jarvis**: an AI-powered assistant designed to **transcribe conversations in real-time**, **label key moments**, and **generate actionable summaries** on the fly.
Developed during Geekathon 2024 by a team of engineers from xgeeks, Jarvis goes beyond transcription — it enables **voice-activated productivity**, and keeps your summaries saved for future use. In this talk, I’ll walk you through the problem we tackled, how we built Jarvis, the impact it had, and the roadmap toward making AI your silent collaborator in every meeting.

At a time when AI systems proliferate, the ability to provide real time, actionable context and let them trigger real world actions becomes ever more relevant. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) connects AI models to systems by providing a simple standarized interface called “context servers” that gather external data or invoke downstream APIs. In this session we will explore how to implement a fully remote serverless MCP server supported by AWS Lambda and API Gateway so that we can connect AI models to the world and keep operational costs at a minimum while maintining highly available tools so that you can “Open a Jira ticket with this error stack trace.” or “Order me a Pizza” at any given time from your chat session.
