**“AI driven QA: The Reality and Hype of the Journey”, by Georgi Georgiev, Senior QA Engineer**

**About the Talk**

This talk explores the evolution of software testing – from manual to automation, and now to AI-augmented quality assurance. We’ll break down what AI can realistically do in QA today, such as generating test cases, detecting flaky tests, and predicting high-risk areas – and where it still falls short. Through real-world case studies from companies like Netflix and Reddit, we’ll separate the hype from practical value. Attendees will gain clear insight into how AI is reshaping the QA role and what skills testers need to stay ahead.

**About the Speaker**

Georgi Georgiev is a seasoned Software Quality Assurance Engineer with over seven years of industry experience and a master’s degree in Computer Science. He combines hands-on expertise in both manual and automated testing with an academic role as an Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Sofia.
