About this eventThis “**Lisbon Newcomers Welcome Club**” Xmas gathering is for people who are new to Lisbon or want to welcome them, and increase their number of connections. The first meetup was held November 2021 and since we have welcomed 1050+ people to these events.
This event will have live secular Christmas sing-a-long with the amazing William Carbone on the keyboards.
Singing in groups in one of the oldest ways of bringing people together, going back many thousands of years.
We are doing a secular Xmas Sing along for people of any religion, or none.
**Our values are simple “We welcome all who welcome all”**
You don’t have to be good at singing.

We have structured icebreakers aimed at making things easy for shy people to meet one another. Then participants are welcome to hang out and socialise as they wish after the structured part of the meeting is over.
If you have a community initiative you want to share or announce, let us know in advance.
We need volunteers to help us develop this and other projects. From simple things like being early to welcome people, through to PR and graphic design and a website. Let us know if that sounds like you and apply to join the team [here](https://forms.gle/b8BqEsqnYJc8W3B69) We aim to be a local community of internationally minded people in the heart of Lisbon. You are welcome to be a part of it.
When you sign up to our events we add you to our [mailing list](https://lisboncommunityevents.substack.com/) https://lisboncommunityevents.substack.com if you give us your email address so we can tell you about more free events run by volunteers . If you don’t want us to do that don’t give us your email. iI you change your mind you can leave the Substack list at any time.
