About this event

Our upcoming event is near. Swiss Post will host our community to discuss engineering collaboration and responsible use of data and AI.

Our meetup series in Lisbon continues — and this time we’re gathering at Swiss Post.

Join us for an evening dedicated to collaboration, learning, and responsible innovation, where we’ll explore how communities and data-driven technologies are shaping the way we build and improve digital products.

Swiss Post is a growing technology hub focused on developing digital solutions that support logistics, communication, and services used by millions. During this meetup, their team will share insights from internal initiatives that encourage knowledge sharing, leadership, and thoughtful use of data.

CoPs: Connect. Learn. Evolve

Speakers: Joana Ferreira, Carolina Costa, Bianca Rascio, Daniela Fasero, Rosie Dias, Vitória Curto, Raquel Coelho

Over the past three years, Swiss Post has been developing Communities of Practice (CoPs) to strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange across teams.

In this session, the speakers will share how these communities were created, how they have grown, and the impact they have had across the organisation. Attendees will learn about the different CoPs currently active — including areas such as Java, Mobile Development, Scrum, QA, and others — and how they help engineers and specialists connect, learn from each other, and continuously evolve their skills.

The talk will also highlight the experiences of the women leading these communities and the role they play in fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.

AI, Data and Analytics: Identifying Solutions and Mitigating Bias

Speaker: Nathália Demetrio

As organizations increasingly rely on data to drive decisions, it becomes crucial to recognize that data and algorithms are not inherently neutral.

In this talk, Nathália will discuss how professionals can approach data with a more critical and responsible mindset. Through examples and practical insights, we’ll explore how biases can emerge in data analysis, how they can influence outcomes, and what strategies can be used to mitigate them. The session will also reflect on how developing data literacy and awareness of cognitive bias can help teams create fairer and more reliable solutions.

Whether you’re passionate about engineering communities, data ethics, or simply curious to learn from others in the tech ecosystem, this meetup is a great opportunity to exchange ideas and connect with fellow professionals.

Participation is free, but seats are limited — make sure to reserve your spot.
