**Talk: Prompting Humans: How to Influence, Persuade, and Connect in a Multicultural World**
In the age of AI, we’ve all learned to “prompt” machines—giving them context, background, and clear instructions so they deliver exactly what we need.
But when it comes to communicating with people, especially in multicultural environments, we often assume shared understanding… even when it doesn’t exist.
The result?
Miscommunication, frustration, and friction that could have been completely avoided.
This talk introduces a simple, practical approach to bringing the same level of intentionality to human interactions that we now bring to AI prompting. You’ll learn how to prepare your message, understand the other person’s interests, adapt your delivery across cultures, and provide clear, actionable next steps—so your communication becomes more influential, persuasive, and aligned.
You will leave with clear rules of thumb and an easy-to-apply framework you can start using immediately to improve meetings, briefings, client communication, and everyday interactions with people from different cultural backgrounds.
**About our speaker: Lorraine Henríquez**
Hi, I’m Lorraine Henríquez, founder of SpeakEasy Consulting and the brand Lira Language. I work with companies, teams, and educational institutions that operate internationally, helping them overcome communication challenges through strategic consulting, customized training programs, coaching, and practical playbooks.
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and studied linguistics, language education, and cultural studies. For over a decade, I’ve helped professionals develop the clarity and cultural awareness they need to communicate effectively in multicultural environments. I’m also a public speaker who enjoys bringing real-world stories to the stage.
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me traveling, singing karaoke, exploring art, or learning a new language. I joined DMK last year and have really enjoyed the events, the learning opportunities, and the amazing people who have become part of my professional journey.
