Learn how several famous startups, from Uber to Airbnb, Blablacar, got started and how to create a “billion-dollar company.”Join us for an insightful event on how to get your startup idea off the ground and turn it into a successful project!
In this workshop, we will share case studies of several famous startups, a few of which that started from an idea on a Startup Weekend edition. From examples like Uber, Airbnb, Blablacar, Zapier, Uniplaces, and Coursera, we will understand how to select and solve a problem significant enough to create a “billion-dollar company”.
At the end of this workshop, participants will have a clear understanding of the full Entrepreneurial Journey. Attendees will learn:
How to validate an idea and solution to check if this is a business worth pursuing
How to build the first version of the product (“MVP” — Minimum Viable Product) without investment or programming knowledge
How to get the first customers!
This workshop is part of a series of free educational events promoted by the 351 Portuguese Startup Association in collaboration with the Techstars Startup Weekends team in Portugal.
