Join TNW for this DEI roundtable and networking event, in collaboration with the Netherlands Embassy in Portugal, coinciding with Web SummitJoin TNW for “Accelerating Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in tech’’, a roundtable and networking event, coinciding with Web Summit 2023. Organized in collaboration with the Netherlands Embassy in Portugal and supported by various leading ecosystem experts.
This event is about creating impact and driving meaningful change towards a tech ecosystem for all.
Gathering a selection of tech leaders, government officials and DEI experts, sharing concrete DEI initiatives/best practices to foster networking and collaboration opportunities.

4:00 — 4:30 PM — Walk-in
4:30 -4:45 PM- Welcome by TNW and partners: the status quo of DEI in tech
4:45-5:30 PM — Roundtable discussions (45 min), hosted by (industry) experts:
Roundtable 1 — Government-backed DEI programs, policies & regulations. Learn about existing and upcoming government-backed programs, policies and regulations to accelerate DEI. Such as DEI (gov) subsidies, diversity quota and the upcoming EU Pay Transparency Directive. Hosted by TNW (Yeni Joseph) and Dealroom
Roundtable 2 — Building inclusive company cultures. Learn about e.g. shaping a DEI company strategy and translating it into concrete actions, inclusive hiring and retaining (tech) talent and setting diversity goals: how to embed meaningful change. Hosted by Sparkling Gems (Ashmita Krishna Sharma) and Social Tech A.I (Chantal Schinkels)
Roundtable 3 — Accelerating female entrepreneurship in tech. Learn about successful support programs accelerating female empowerment/entrepreneurship and how to diversify the (VC) investment landscape /impact investment. Hosted by Women of the World (Carine de Meyere) and TNW (Myrthe van der Erve)
5:30-5:45 PM — Plenary recap of roundtable outcomes and key takeaways
5:45 — 6:00 PM — Closing words, followed by joining Dutch networking event (starting from 6.00PM, on rooftop at same venue)
