About this event
**Grafana & Friends is back!**Ready to dive deep into the world of observability? This meetup features experts from [Five9](https://www.five9.com/), [Farfetch](https://www.farfetch.com/), and [Miro](https://miro.com/) sharing their practical knowledge and real-world use cases. Learn how they’re leveraging OpenTelemetry and the Grafana Stack to gain valuable insights into their systems.
📍**Location:**

**👉 Agenda:**
**18:30:** Check-in and welcome 👋
**19:00:** 🎙️ “**Building an Observability Platform: Why Tracing Takes Center Stage**” by **[Iris Dyrmishi](https://www.linkedin.com/in/iris-dyrmishi-b15a9a164/)**, Senior Observability Engineer at [Miro](https://miro.com/).
Tracing isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s the key to building a powerful Observability platform. In this talk, we’ll look at how features like tail sampling, spans-to-metrics, and span events can make your life easier by cutting through the noise and giving you better insights. Whether you’re new to tracing or want to take it further, this session is for you!
**19:30:** 🎙️ “**From Chaos to Order: Telemetry Correlation with Grafana and OTEL**” by **[Bruno Teixeira](https://www.linkedin.com/in/bruno-miguel-teixeira/)**, Principal Platform Engineer at [Farfetch](https://www.farfetch.com/).
Transform disconnected and fragmented telemetry into storytelling with
Grafana’s Correlation capabilities. In this demo you will work with Grafana and other popular, community technologies (Loki, Tempo, Prometheus) to solve complex production troubleshooting, understand system dependencies, and have a global view of your environment. Real-time insights have never been this smooth!
**20:00:** 🎙️ “**Observability Without Boundaries: Building resilient hybrid cloud monitoring with open-source**” by **[Paulo Dias](https://www.linkedin.com/in/paulojomdias/)**, Staff Observability Engineer at [Five9](https://www.five9.com/).
Running services across AWS, Google Cloud, VMware, and OpenStack brings its own set of hurdles. At Five9, we took head on these problems with Prometheus, Grafana, Mimir, and more. In this session we will discuss how to standardize the process of resource management, how to view data across regions and clouds with minimal distress, and the importance of allowing teams to take care of their own observability, aka, Service Ownership. All with practical measures that can help enhance the reliability and team’s involvement with observability in a hybrid cloud setting.
As usual, we will finish with pizzas, drinks, and some great networking 🍕🍻🥤
It would be super cool to see you there!
