About this event

Join us at the Climate Tech Challenges event in Lisbon, Portugal, where we invite you to be a part of an inspiring gathering focused on addressing the unique climate-related challenges faced by Portugal and exploring innovative startup solutions.

Portugal, with its diverse ecosystems and geographical characteristics, presents distinct climate challenges that demand our attention. From coastal erosion and forest fires to water scarcity and renewable energy integration, this event will delve into these specific challenges and provide a platform for showcasing and discussing tech-driven solutions tailored to the Portuguese context.

The goal of this event is to produce a Taxonomy of Climate Challenges facing Portugal by region and across four industries:

1\. Transportation

2\. Retrofitting Housing and Buildings

3\. Urban Adaptation

4\. Ocean and Land Regeneration

The Taxonomy Event is the first part of our Autumn Event Tryptych. In October, we will focus the second event on mapping the existing Climate and Biodiversity Tech Ecosystem to the market needs identified in the first event. In November, at MAAT, we will do a gap assessment comparing the market needs to ecosystem capacity and generate a vision of Climate and Biodiversity Tech in Portugal in 2025-8.
