About this event

The second event of the **Agile from the trenches** group will focus on **Enhancing Agility**.

Agility is about iteratively improving. In this meetup Luís Ribeiro and Cléon Fernandes will talk about two different cases of concrete improvements in their teams that led to more customer satisfaction, better team mood and performance, more transparency, and better communication in their environment.

In the first talk (Team split: the change that no one wanted, but everyone needed), Luís Ribeiro will share his experience and findings on Scrum Mastering a team with around 20 people and how it was split into several autonomous, flexible, and highly productive teams. How did it get there? What were the alternatives? How the team was split? How to prevent the creation of silos? How to keep complexity low in the new scaled environment? What were the mistakes made? How were they overcome? This talk will tell you the story of this scaling and how Nexus inspired it.

In the second talk (Scrum & Kanban: Embrace complexity by bringing Kanban’s flow metrics into Scrum as complementary practice) Cléon Fernandes will share his experience and findings when his Scrum Team brought Kanban’s flow metrics and abandoned the practices of “story pointing”, planning poker relative estimation and velocity based forecast. The reasons behind the change, how the team did it, how helpful it was, and the main challenges.

The agile world is full of experimentation and knowledge sharing, so this is a great opportunity to get together and learn together (by the way: we will have some snacks and pizza & beer at the end ;))!
