**Talk #1** 🎤

**Fluent: A localization system for natural-sounding translations**

By *Macabeus (@bmacabeus)* - @Anima and organizer of @GambiConf

When developing a project for many cultures, it’s important to start from day-0 with a proper localization system - otherwise, we would have many reworks. So, let’s talk about Fluent, Mozilla’s DSL that offers the correct way to provide the localization for your system. It’s flexible to support as many languages as necessary without messing up the code.

**Talk #2** 🎤

**Scaling of Engineering Teams**

By *Pedro Franco* - @Pipedrive

Scaling Engineering teams is hard. Pipedrive used to work in the traditional teams model but we ended realising it had many shortcomings.

As most teams are made generally of 6-8 people, it promotes having more knowledge silos between teams and it makes more likely for engineers being locked into working in the same projects during the year. As the product grows it becomes much harder to get out of doing significant maintenance and less interesting work. Let’s face it, no Developer wants this.

We organise ourselves as Tribes and not as Teams. Tribes end up being BIG teams between 20 and 30 people and we execute by launching Missions, not Projects. At this talk, you will learn a bit more of how this actually works and how we use it to scale our product.

Join now and follow all the updates!

We are looking forward to seeing all of you!! 🤗

18:30 - The doors will be opened to network time.
